Project Explanation:
As the core of cupcake grew there was obviously a larger demand for components.
The largest majority of Ipreo/IHS Markit apps are using angular - so that is where we started.
My team had no additional bandwidth to build angular components and we were allowing scrum teams to implement the core as they saw fit.
So I recruited a small team of the best UI Developers within the company for an Internal hackathon.
Our goal was to compile and centralize components that had been built into applications already. We placed those into Storybook.
We won the hackathon! The value proposition garnered support and motivation from the technical executive committee.
This allowed me to properly resource building the angular component library as well.
The Sprinkles angular library is not publicly available.
You can however browse these screenshots as well as view a limited version at the link below.

In Summary.
Sprinkles not only centralized the components - but also created a common area for UI Developers to work. This has been a great source for creating a strong UI development community where our best resources are doing the best work that the whole company can benefit from.
